"The IS issue"

Whenever an IS-related story breaks, Kommand will do it's best to give you the raw story 
to prevent misinformation and lies from springing up.

One of the major problems of VG 1.0 was the fact the IS was ignored and hated. This time 
around, we'd like to point out that the IS is our enemies - yes - but they should be treated 
with respect. You know why? Nothing annoys your enemies more than forgiving them. 

To make things clear, Here is the "Offical" reason why VG is "blockaded by the entire IS" 
(Entire IS means 1/4 of them voted to maintain the blockade, and thus the blockade stands. 
Here's why Mercz voted to leave us banned.)

    Note at the top it says Takkun Gray was ejected. Takkun returned the sim and left.
He then goes on to accuse Christoph of stealing, Er, wait, no, of .... letting other people 
steal things. Wait, He's also accusing Christoph of taking control of Tagent and making him 
release all of his property to the world when he quit the SL militaries. Oh, and insulting 
another military is a crime now according to lurdan... who went on to say:

    "We have very clear and substantive reasons for blockading Vanguard. I recently made a 
statement to my group about it. I’m surprised it isn’t circulating around Vanguard yet being 
spit on and ridiculed by teenagers who are either too unintelligent or morally backwards to 
appreciate them. If there weren’t good reasons to bar you people from our simulators, seven 
militaries wouldn’t be doing it. Do yourself a favour – do a little research into your own 
group that doesn’t involve swallowing up Christoph’s lies and spun tales. If you have any 
shred of decency, you’d leave after the discoveries you make."

    The "research" he suggests everyone make is simply more of the same he stated earlier in 
the log - Look back at the past and judge based off that. Technically, Chris has come to terms 
with all of the 'crimes' listed against him. Tangent no longer works for VG, Chris wears a 
furry avatar on occassion (WOAH, DEEP DARK SECRET GUYS, BETTER GO JOIN ORDO) and when we where 
accused of using a copybotted officer hat that not even the lindens could confirm, we had a 
new one built infront of us by CaptCuddles.  We will beat the IS at their own game, not by 
scaring them into submission with nasty threats or taunting them for hiding behind banlines. 
Instead we'll be the bigger men and let them throw childish insults and sad attempts to pull 
examples from history that not many where even around for. (Lance hacked vendors? Last I 
checked he was a very linden-approved scripter for hire with an ancient account... ) I 
honestly don't understand much of Lurdan's rants, I think the fact Christoph is spending 
thousands of dollars on his virtual military while Lurdan works at a walmart mcdonalds may 
be one of the reasons he hates him so much, another being they've been enemies for ages but 
what can we do? Well here's my suggestion
 
    We will continue as we always have, advance our technology using money and not relying on 
donations, as the IS does. I mean, When was the last time Lurdan or Aryte paid someone for a 
script, gun model or vehicle? I rest my case. 

    I would also like to point out that we are unbanned from 2142 on the 18th, as violating 
a golden rule ('Do not engage with unfair numbers') is a 12-day ban, and we are busy working 
things out with CS, who still believe our glowing bullets are explosive rounds.

    Live by example, Use bullets to beat your enemy and not words and petty insults that 
people will quote in a notecard and mock.

    Also, I was unable to find the log in time, as I'm going to bed, but the two reasons the 
IS "offically" blockaded us was because 

1) Anoki nuked an AN wiki page, and joined VG a few days later after we removed him from the 
estate ban list. - No damage done to the AN
2) Takkun returned Badnarik, and the sim was rolled back - No damage done - He joined VG 
shortly after, as I offered him a position. He was a high ranking Mercz officer after all, 
and my bitter enemy for a year. In VG we do not make leaders re-take boot camp, our egos are 
not that massive.

    Both of these examples do not involve VG in any way, in fact we ejected someone tonight 
for breaking our behavior guidelines and attemping to grief Aryte. Do not follow his example. 
Be the bigger men, Stay true to combat and not politics, and let's all just have a good fight 
and win.

Leave the IS drama to me.
