========================================================= I would like to respectfully inform the IS that we have still not recieved a list of formal complaints in regards to Vanguard behavior, weaponry, or other standards you would like us to conform to. As it stands, we have done our best to meet the rules laid forth by the IS and meet IS standards for participation. We feel this is unfair to the members of VG who have done no wrong in the past, and are simply with VG because they feel "Ordo is too serious, Mercz is too silly" (An example given to me by a recent Mercz defectee, I am sorry if this offends.) We would also like to lay all the cards out on the table and do exactly as the Ordo has done in the past to meet the AN's demands of stable-compliancy. We would like to sit down with you and your staff to discuss what exactly we need to change. Radical reform or not, we'd still like to open communication and settle these disputes so the banlines can fall. But before I get too far ahead, I feel I must point out something crucial: 1) Anoki's actions with the AN wiki where done when he was in the service of the AN, In fact when we confronted him about it a few days later when we saw him in Verklund, Christoph immediatly estate banned him for 'grieving' - Christoph has always respected the AN, and specificly Jim. Anoki bounced on the sim border for three days (as he does not log out when he goes to bed.) until he (From my understanding of the story) convinced Christoph to unban him and that his 'attack' on the AN wiki was a 'one time action, out of anger at the unfair treatment of my friend and squad leader.' We have since made him, and everyone else in Vanguard, commit to our behavioral standards or be ejected. 2) Takkun's actions where also performed while in the service of his military, the Mercz, who he still loves to this day. In fact, he was so passionate about the Mercz he (According to his history) has given so much of his time and effort that he has earned the rank of officer, and even continued to perform admirably under intense pressure from his personal feelings for Ordo. In fact, I myself hated Takkun until we sat down together and actually talked out our differences. Takkun returned the sim, yes, but he did so because he knew it was temporary. It was his way to leave the SL militaries and never have a chance to 'come back' like so many others do. This was a one-time act of anger against a group he felt had done him wrong, and he rejected my offer to join Vanguard twice until I promised him that I could obtain a position for him that would involve what he wanted - Simple combat, No stress, No paperwork, No 'bullshit politics and hypocrasy'. and I feel I did the right thing by giving him a home, both for my military and for this old vet. There was an article on the War Journal detailing how minor of an event Takkun's 'grand betrayal' was, and it's not like he's going to return the Mercz sim ever again, I see no reason to deny a great tactiction and LO officer from our ranks, especially since Christoph's shadow (His 'evil deeds' of the past, per-se) grant many of us protection in terms of scale. To be clear: We do not support E-terrorism, or people with a history of E-terrorism, In fact I was forced to contact the infamous griever who goes by the name of 'Fire' and ask him politely to 'cool his jets' in regards to his grieving, as Aelus had tipped me off previously that people where starting to believe he was VG. He is not VG, and according to this log provided to me by Takkun from the Light Ops, he is a Mercz Alt who does it simply because he takes amusement in making 'smaller groups complain and cry on voice chat'. The log of fire, or more information on how this situation was resolved (Or not resolved, as he immediatly went to 'The Gor Hub' and tried to 'show me his new SimDozer', a device that crashes sims, and went offline. I have not heard from him since. Most of my conversation was also sent to Caine Constantine, if anyone would like proof but feel they cannot trust me.) We do not support people with troubled pasts, such as Fox Mulgrave, Maza Rau, Meia Cosmos or *anyone* suspected of copybotting, such as Pattehfox's alts. We *do* accept people like Takkun and Anoki, as they made a mistake once, and if they even attempted it while under the banner of VG, they would be exiled and cast out immediatly. Attached is our handbook, if you would like to view our Zero Tolerance policy first hand. (Zero Tolerance Policy) To show our good faith, and that we are willing to make changes - even without solid evidence presented - we would like to present to you our officer's hat, and the story behind it. We recieved a hat from RoG when the merge took place, along with the rest of their equipment, All of it was decomissioned save for the officer's hat - which Christoph liked. It was retextured and given to a few officers. During this time, it was brought to my attention that the hat may be copybotted, and bears a striking resemblence to Fairlight/Saraphim Industries' officer cap. As I would consider myself friends to both these people, I looked into the issue personally, and even had a Linden on sim at one point to investigate the item. They came to the conclusion it was not copybotted, or if it was, it was impossible to tell. Still, this was a liability our eyes, and as such we comissioned a new hat to be made. This hat was made by CaptCuddles Boa, a friend of the Ordo and IS, the same person who was comissioned to build our armor. The hat of questionable history was removed from service (It was never even put into our armory, Christoph simply gave it to a few officers prior to our opening.) and our new officer hat has been sent out twice via notices, and will be in our armory by the end of the day. Another sign that we are willing to comply to your demands is this, Christoph Naumova has stepped down from the spotlight and has handed diplomacy to me, Dagger Exonar, in light of the recent mistakes with 2142 and CS. If you would like to inquire more about our changes, or simply clear up missunderstandings of the past, feel free to contact me or drop me a notecard. I view my job as handling the politics so that my men can enjoy the combat. Waiting for Crusafix Redux, ~Dagger Exonar -Approved by Christoph
